			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Last week, I <a href="http://www.tenmilerivertrader.com/blog/?p=32">wrote</a> about the John Rueger Explorer Base, which was located in Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn, NY from 1960-1966. During its peak, it housed over 2 dozen Sea Explorer Ships from the Five Boroughs of New York City.<br />
There are only two known patches issued for this facility. Both are 5″ (130mm) Round Jacket Patches.  The second one is pictured below.</p>
