Gene Berman advises that there are now less than 10 sets of the limited edition 100th Anniversary Founders of Scouting CSP sets available.

Less than ten sets remain of the 50 silver mylar border sets made to commemorate in 10 patches five of the National Founders and the principal founder of each Borough Council of the NYC five borough councils. Once they are gone, THEY ARE GONE, and no more with silver mylar borders will be made so if you have been procrastinating, now is the time to act.

Best way to obtain a set is to go to Ten Mile River Scout Museum Website and click on the right hand column the tab that says Founder’s sets. You can download a flyer.

If you collect 100th anniversary patches, these all have the official logo and if you collect specific Founder or Founders, this is a must for you as well. The CSPs have a special photo process with the picture of the Founder in the center and the rest is fully embroidered.

They are also available on Ebay. Specific questions about the patches, geneberman@verizon.net. Specific questions about purchase, shipping, method of payment to Dave Malatzky at DMalatzky@aol.com .

Gene Berman, the Chairman of the TMR Museum recently posted this announcement to Patch-L:

For those of you that pre-ordered our 10 patch founder’s day sets, they have finally arrived and Dave will be mailing them out early next week. They were due the beginning of May but we experienced the same problems with National nit-picking shades and sizes as some of you have been talking about on patch-L. But alls well that ends well and we do have them now in our possession. To date from the pre-order, 22 of the 50 sets with silver Mylar border have been sold meaning that with the upcoming summer camp season at TMR and the pre-NOAC TradeOree, we likely will be sold out by summer’s end of the special silver Mylar sets.

Only 50 sets and no more will be made. The white border sets we have sold 32 sets on the pre-order but we will reorder those if we sell out.

If you have not seen them yet and they do look very good, you can go to our website, and click on the right where the thumbnail is for buying the set and it will take you to the order form and a view of the set.

Also, we still have a few sets left of the 42 patch RWS series of 7 colors used in NY between 1941-1974 and 6 entities using them, meaning the five boroughs of NYC and Greater New York Councils. Both sets are council approved. To see those look on our home page for Museum shop and you can follow the links.

The Ten Mile River Scout Museum and Greater New York Councils are proud to announce our new 100th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America ten patch sets. Five patches will honor the National Founders; Baden-Powell, Dan Beard, Earnest Seton, W.D. Boyce and James E. West. The other five will honor the founder of each of the Borough Councils of the five boroughs of New York City.
These patches can be viewed on the Museum Website and a flyer can be downloaded as well.

Only 50 sets will be made with a silver mylar border and then NO MORE will be made. 100 sets with white borders will be made and re-ordered if needed. The cost is $120 for a silver mylar border set and $60 for the regular white border set.
All monies go to the Ten Mile River Scout Museum a part of the Greater New York Councils.
These beautiful patches use a combination of solid embroidery and transfer skills to create an amazing effect. You will not be disappointed.

If you want the silver mylar sets do not procrastinate. The flyers were introduced at the Allendale and Pittsburgh TORs and a dozen sets are already spoken for of the silver mylars. 38 sets remain.
