I missed picturing this one last year, It is the 2007 Polar Bear Award from Camp Ranachqua.

This is the second of two issues from Camp Ranachqua for 2008. AS has been the pattern for the last several years, there is a patch issued for those brave enough to try the waters of Lake Nianque on those cool Catskill mornings. While issued in 2008, the patch is undated.

TMR 80th Annivesary Camp Ranachqua CSP

As part of its 80th Anniversary celebration, TMR has issued two sets of 7 CSP’s.The first version is numbered, the second set is un-numbered. The numbered CSP’s share the same design as the un-numbered, but have a number ghosted in the design. To the best of my knowledge, no “sets” of the same numbers were sold, although some collectors may have put these sets together after the fact.

Each design features a theme or program element specific to that camp with the Indian Cliffs “chief” as part of the design.

The seventh and final issue in the series is from Camp Ranachqua.

TMR 80th Anniversary CSP – Camp Ranachqua RA2007X1

This CSP pictures the chief scaling a climbing wall.

The numbered version is the RA2007X1 and the un-numbered is the RA2007X2

Camp Ranachqua eBay Auctions?

There are two auctions currently running on eBay which describe patches as likely or possibly coming from Camp Ranachqua.

You can visit the Ten Mile River Scout Museum website to see dozens of issues from Camp Ranachqua. Some of the felts date back to the 1920′s at Kanohwahkee Scout Camps and later at Ten Mile River.

Note the stylized “R” common to these designs.

Below are images of annual awards earned at Camp Ranachqua.

While I cannot categorically confirm that the issues in the eBay auctions are not from Camp Ranachqua; I do not believe they are Ranachqua issues.
