Here is an undated Stratton Mountain Scout Reservation patch. It is a 4″round silkscreened on a canvas like material. The design of the burro or donkey became standard on many of their patches.

Since Fort Orange Council merged in 1963 to become Fort Orange-Uncle Sam Council, this patch must be from 1962 or earlier.

Camp Ranachqua 2013 Jacket Patch

In addition to the 2013 Camp Ranachqua pocket patch I wrote about a few days ago, there is also a jacket patch issued for Camp Ranachqua for the 2013 season.

There were outpost jacket patches in the early 1970′s and the TMR Museum issued one several years ago, but I believe that this is the first time a jacket patch has been issued for an individual TMR Camp.

Camp Ranachqua 2013 Pocket Patch

The 2013 issues for Ten Mile River Scout Camp have begun with a pocket patch for Camp Ranachqua. The design pays homage to Beech Mountain Scout Camp originally from Orange Sullivan Council.

The background is tan, rather than the white background found on the Beech Mountain Scout Camp patches of the same design.

TMR Lookalike – Camp Bob Hardin 1989 Gold Mylar Patch

I had previously written about a Green Bordered 1989 Camp Bob Hardin Patch which used the iconic Indian Cliffs image for its pocket patch.

Here is another 1989 Camp Bob Hardin patch, this one had a Gold Mylar border.

This design was used by the camp for several years from at least 1986 to 1989. Does anyone know if Camp Bob Hardin used this in additional years or in other forms?

1957 Camp Keowa Staff Neckerchief Slide

1958 Stratton Mountain Scout Reservation Pocket Patch

Fort Orange Council which merged in 1963 to become Fort Orange-Uncle Sam Council. was the owner of Stratton Mountain Scout Reservation. This is a dated patch from 1958. It did not use the image of a donkey or burro which appeared on many of their patches.

Camp Ihpetonga Post ’53 Neckerchief?

The logo in the neckerchief pictured below is the one used for Camp Ihpetonga which was one of the Brooklyn Scout Camps at Ten Mile River. Trying to find out information about this 60 year old neckerchief.

There are several possibilities here. There was a Troop and Post 53 at Saint Ephrem’s Church in Brooklyn NY. So this could be a neckerchief issued from that post for its time spent at Camp Ihpetonga.

Camp Ihpetonga Post ’53 Neckerchief?

There is however a ‘ in front of the 53 which would imply that it is a date, a shortened version of 1953. It is mot the staff neckerchief for Camp Ihpetonga from 1953, because I have previously posted on that 1953 staff neckerchief.

If it is the case it is from 1953, it could be a neckerchief for a Post composed of Staff members from Camp Ihpetonga.

Can anyone solve this 60 year old question?

TMR Camp Manhattan Staff Neckerchief 1951

Here is an example of a Staff neckerchief from a time when scouts camped at Ten Mile River by borough. As you might imagine, Camp Manhattan was for scouts from that borough. The area which comprised Camp Manhattan was later divided into Camp Rondack and Camp Keowa.

This Staff neckerchief is from 1951.

Orange Spruce Pond Scout Camp Neckerchief

Here is a neckerchief issued for Spruce Pond Scout Camp. this is one of a series of neckerchiefs issued for various GNYC Scout Camps. All followed a similar format. Many of these neckerchiefs also had a slide which match the logo design of the neckerchief.
