Kanes Open Felt Patches

Ten Mile River from 1938 to circa 1952 has a program where a Scout could earn felt patches by completing certain requirements in various program areas which I wrote about here.

During World War II with gas rationing and other issues, it was more difficult for Scouts to get to TMR. Kanes Open another camp operated by GNYC and much closer to NYC was used for summer camp for several years. During this time the operated a similar Kanes Open Scout program with their own versions of the patches.

As part of an update for the TMR Memorabilia Guide, we are looking for images for any variations of the Kanes Open patches not shown below.

Clicking on the image will bring you to a larger version.

I would be willing to purchase or trade for any of the patches shown above or any varieties not pictured here.

We do not need any scan for the Ten Mile River Scout issues,
