Saturday August 6, 2011 is the annual TMR Alumni Day held at the Headquarters Camp beginning at 10:00 AM. The TMR Museum will be open throughout the day. The third and final patch issued by the Ten Mile River Scout Camp Museum came as a surprise on Alumni Day. A Blue Bordered Patch was presented to each TMR Museum Trustee. The patch had the same design as the Historian and Member Patch.
The second of three patches issued by the TMR Scout Camp Museum was one made for those who paid there dues and became members of the TMR Museum. The design is the same as the historian patch, but with a Gold Mylar border and T.M.R. Museum Member in White.
As in previous years, there was a dated patch that Scouts received fro free for attending the TMR Museum and going through the program as presented by the Curators. The Museum continues to use the iconic Indian Cliffs design.
Camp Ranachqua’s 2010 Arrowhead was harkens back to the early Ranachqua Lodge arrowheads albeit* without the Arrow and with a different color combination. Camp Keowa had an undated patch as its 2010 Pocket Patch. I guess that the bat (?) and soccer ball could be a stylized “10″ which would make it dated. Does anyone know if that was the intent? The design used is their Thunderbird totem pictured in front of a cloud with lightning bolt.
Family Camp had a dated pocket patch issued for the 2010 season. It was a 3″ round which sported an old design. My version has a TRS (twill smooth right) background. The design is circa 1973 where it was used in a jacket patch for the Sherwood Forest Outpost.
Camp Aquehonga celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America in their hexagonal shaped patch issued for the 2010 season. It is a Tan twill patch with a Dark Green border.
