by @ Thursday, November 17th, 2011. Filed under Camp Hayden, Ten Mile River - Modern

A couple of years ago, I posted an image of a Polar Bear Patch from Camp Hayden. It was in pretty rough shape, but I can now share a mint example. Rockland County Council worked out an agreement to operate Camp Hayden (the last year as a GNYC Camp was 1974) and leased the camp [...]

In my posts on the Ten Mile River Scout program, I wrote about a short-lived program from 1996. The 1996 Season brought a modest though short-lived rebirth to a reservation-wide program. While no longer called TMR Scout, the program allowed a Scout attending camp to earn borders by participating in various activities. This program only [...]

I recently came across the patch shown below. Issued by Camp Ranachqua in 1999, it displays a harnessed Scout on a climbing wall. It would have been issued by Hudson Valley Council. I had never seen this one before. Were there other versions issued for other years before or after 1999, or was this the [...]

The final item I am aware of from the 2010 season is a numbered ‘coin’ which celebrated the  100th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America. The front of the coin shows the typical view of Indian Cliffs: James West at Ten Mile River Boy Scout Camp Postcard US $3.95 Auction Ends: Sunday Feb-05-2012 9:52:56 [...]

The third and final patch issued by the Ten Mile River Scout Camp Museum came as a surprise on Alumni Day.  A Blue Bordered Patch was presented to each TMR Museum Trustee.  The patch had the same design as the Historian and Member Patch.
