Last week, I wrote about the John Rueger Explorer Base, which was located in Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn, NY from 1960-1966. During its peak, it housed over 2 dozen Sea Explorer Ships from the Five Boroughs of New York City.
There are only two known patches issued for this facility. Both are 5â€³ (130mm) Round Jacket Patches.Â The second one is pictured below.
