John Rueger Explorer Base

The John Rueger Explorer Base, one of the shortest-lived GNYC facilities, was located in Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn, NY from 1960-1966. During its peak, it housed over 2 dozen Sea Explorer Ships from the Five Boroughs of New York City.

There are only two known patches issued for this facility. Both are 5″ (130mm) Round Jacket Patches. One is pictured below.
